Philippine export receipts in February fell to a 14-month low of 15.6 percent on year to 3.74 billion U.S. dollars dragged down by a sharp reduction in electronics exports, the National Statistics Office (NSO) said Wednesday.
Earnings from shipment of electronics, which accounts for nearly forty percent of the total revenues, declined 36.5 percent to 1.48 billion U.S. dollars.
Aggregate merchandise exports for the first two months of 2013 declined 9.4 percent on year to 7.75 billion U.S. dollars.
Most of the country's exports went to Japan, the U.S., China, Singapore and Republic of Korea. Endi
