The 71st annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony will be staged on Jan. 12 at its usual venue of Beverly Hilton, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced Thursday.

The HFPA, which organizes the event, made the announcement with NBC, which will again beam the nightly extravaganza live.

According to the HFPA, the names of nominees for the major Hollywood awards event will be announced on Dec. 12.

The HFPA will unveil the recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Awards, an honor which recognizes "outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment," on Nov. 6.

This year's award went to Jodie Foster, who was the youngest woman ever to receive the honor, one of the industry's top ones. Endi
