Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will hold a new round of talks over Tehran's nuclear program in May, Press TV reported Wednesday, quoting Iran' s ambassador to the UN nuclear watchdog.
Ali-Asghar Soltanieh told Press TV Tuesday that the two sides would meet at the headquarters of Iran's mission to the IAEA in the Austrian capital of Vienna on May 15.
This confirms the IAEA's Tuesday announcement that it would talk again with Iran on May 15 in a bid to finalize the nuclear inspection framework which the agency had been striving for years to establish.
IAEA spokeswoman Gill Tudor said talks would be "aimed at finalizing a structured approach to resolving outstanding issues related to the possible military dimensions of Iran's nuclear program."
However, when asked if the agency would adopt a new strategy since no concrete agreement was reached in the past rounds of talks, the agency declined further comments. Endi
