The Aft Island section of the Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier has been completed in Glasgow, said local media on Wednesday.
Finished on Tuesday, the Aft Island section of the carrier will be loaded onto a barge before being transported to Rosyth in east Scotland where the rest of the ship is being constructed, said the online Scotsman report.
The building of the ship involves six British shipyards for various parts of the ship, and the vessel is expected to be finished by 2016 at the earliest as the Royal Navy's largest ever warship, which may not be ready for active service until 2020, when it will be based in Portsmouth on the south coast of England, it added.
