At least nine people were killed in flood and landslide related incidents in India over the past few days as the country has entered the full monsoon season, local officials said Friday.

Two women were killed after the two were swept away by flash flood in the eastern state of Orissa.

A flash flood ravaged the state's Malkangiri district, the state's Revenue and Disaster Management Department Minister Surya Narayan Patro told the media, adding that many places of the state witnessed heavy rains during the last two days and Malkangiri district was worst hit.

A woman was killed and three people were injured when a house collapsed in Mangalhat area in the southern city of Hyderabad early Friday due to continuous rains since last Wednesday night, said officials.

In the flood-ravaged state of Uttarakhand in northern India, six people were killed in a landslide in the state's Nainital district, officials said Friday. The landslide came after a heavy spell of rains late last Thursday.

Last month, hundreds of people were killed and thousands remain missing in a devastating flood in Uttarakhand. Endi
