The South Korean Navy will deploy its 10th guided-missile destroyer to strengthen its defense in front-line waters, a defense procurement agency said Tuesday.
SIX Offshore & Shipbuilding, one of South Korea's leading shipbuilders, delivered the destroyer with the capacity to fire guided missiles to the country's Navy Forces, according to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).
The country's 10th guided-missile destroyer, which experienced the test-sailing, will be deployed later this year for actual warfare.
The 450-ton warship can sail at a maximum speed of 40 knots, accommodating 40 crew members. The high-speed ship is equipped with 76mm guns and anti-ship missiles. Endi
