Business climate in the euro area remained broadly unchanged in September, the European Commission said on Friday.
The Business Climate Indicator (BCI), an index pointing to the phase of the business cycle, remained broadly unchanged at minus 0.20, according to a report released by the Commission.

Also on Friday, the Commission released the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) figures which showed that economic confidence in the area reached two-year high in September after rising for five consecutive months.
The data was generally in line with the overall economic situation in the single currency area which had shown signs of tentative growth in recent months. Endi
