Zimbabwe's wildlife authorities said Friday that they had arrested five suspects for poisoning two elephants with cyanide in a game reserve in Lupane in the north west of the country.
The fresh arrests made this week follow the recent cyanide poisoning by poachers in nearby Hwange National Park which left more than 100 elephants dead.
The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority said one of the suspects admitted to buying and supplying cyanide as well as poisoning two elephants in the Ngamo Forest.
