Chicago agricultural commodity futures were traded mixed Friday, with corn and soybeans prices going up while the wheat price moving down.
The most active corn contract for March delivery rose 1.25 cents, or 0.28 percent, to settle at 4.4425 dollars per bushel. March wheat lost 3.25 cents, or 0.56 percent, to settle at 5.775 dollars per bushel. March soybeans rose 5.75 cents, or 0.43 percent, to close at 13.315 dollars per bushel.
Corn, soybeans on Friday finished higher ahead of Monday's release of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) report, as it was anticipated that there will be possible reductions in the USDA report's ending stocks estimates.
March Chicago wheat traded higher for most of the session but ended lower in the day. Wheat futures finished the week with its best weekly gain since September. The market lost momentum after a lack of news during the day's trading, according to market analysts. Endite
