A large oil slick 100 nautical miles from Tok Bali, Kelantan was found on Sunday by Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, Malaysian state news agency Bernama reported.
Mohd Amdan Kurish, the agency's director-general, told a press conference that a ship had been sent to collect samples. "Samples will be analyzed to determine if the oil came from MAS Flight MH370 or a passing ship," he said.
He said they would focus on the path taken by flight MH370 to the place where the plane lost contact with air traffic controllers.
The missing Boeing 777-200ER carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew was presumed to have crashed off the Vietnamese coast Saturday after losing contact with air traffic controllers off the eastern Malaysia coast. Endi
