German driver Nico Rosberg of Mercedes on Sunday dominated the opener of 2014 Australian F1 Grand Prix at Melbourne's Albert Park street circuit, while Daniel Ricciardo of Red Bull ranked second and Kevin Magnussen of McLaren came at third place, media reported.
This was the fourth race championship in Rosberg's career. His teammate Lewis Hamilton retired early from one of the most chaotic races in recent years due to an engine problem.
Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel and other five drivers also quit the match for various issues including mechanical problems and crash.
Felipe Massa who was punched from behind by the Kamui Kobayashi of Caterham was very furious after he quit the race and he even called the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile to come down hard on the Japanese driver. Endi
