Zambia's soccer governing body has slapped a soccer administrator with a life ban from all football activities for bringing the name of the game into disrepute, the Times of Zambia reported on Thursday.

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has banned Simataa Simataa, a veteran football administrator for life for allegedly uttering remarks that demeaned officials at the soccer governing body and for dragging some of the officials to court, according to Times.

FAZ secretary-general George Kasengele said the decision to ban the controversial soccer administrator for life was arrived at during a disciplinary meeting held on Feb. 1, 2014.

The official said the soccer administrator, who runs a lower division club, was found guilty of violating the association's disciplinary code of conduct.

He has since been given 30 days in which to appeal against the ban.

The soccer administrator, when contacted, said he would contest the ban to the association's Appeals Committee.

"I just received this letter today and I still have 30 days to appeal, so definitely I will go that route," he said.

This is not the first time that Zambia's soccer governing body is slapping a life ban on the soccer administrator.

In March 2011, he was slapped with an indefinite ban after he wrote a letter to a bank where the association has account to suspend its accounts while in November 2011, he survived another ban for uttering derogatory remarks against the association in the media.

In 2010, he was banned from taking part in all football activities after he wrote a letter asking for the removal of the current FA president, Kalusha Bwalya. Endi
