Sweden is going to promote its literature and culture at the International Book Fair in Abu Dhabi this year, said Swedish government on Tuesday.

A large delegation of authors, poets and representatives of the Swedish book industry will travel to Abu Dhbai to participate in programme involving children's literature, the Swedish crime literature phenomenon and e-books, said the Swedish government in a statement released on its official site.

The Swedish government sees the International Book Fair as "a fantastic opportunity" to promote Swedish literature and culture.

Besides, Swedish food and music as well as the culture of Sweden's indigenous people Sami will also be in highlighted.

The International Book Fair in Abu Dhabi this year will take place from April 30 to May 5. There will be 1025 exhibitors from 50 countries with over 500,000 titles on display each year. Endi
