Malaysia sends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Vietnam for search and rescue efforts of the missing Malaysian jetliner MH370 since the first day of the hunt, said Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Najib Tun Razak.

The Malaysian Prime Minister made the remarks while meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Tan Dung in capital Hanoi on Friday morning during the former's official visit to Vietnam.

The support from Vietnam during the search presented responsibility, humanity and intimacy among the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) members, as well as the excellent relations between the two countries, said the Malaysian prime minister.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, for his part, said at the meeting that he would like to send the deepest condolences to Malaysian government, people and family members of passengers on the MH370 flight.

The Malaysian prime minister is on his official visit to Vietnam from Thursday to Saturday. Endi
