Burberry Group, a British luxury fashion chain, announced Wednesday that its total revenue in the fiscal year ending March 31 rose 17 percent to 2.33 billion pounds (3.93 billion U.S. dollars).
Retail revenue, which accounted for around 70 percent of the group's total revenue, increased by 15 percent to 1.623 billion pounds, figures showed.
Wholesale revenue rose 33 percent to 628 million pounds in the same period.
Sales from the Asia Pacific region increased by 17 percent to 870 million pounds, while turnover from EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa) and the Americas grew by 19 percent and 23 percent to 812 million pounds and 569 million pounds respectively.
"In fiscal year 2015, Burberry plans to open 5-10 stores and concessions and close around 15 older, smaller stores, while investing to improve its digital fulfilment and payment capabilities." Endi
