Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov met Miroslav Jenca, the head of the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), here on Monday, according the Foreign Ministry.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the UNRCCA, and also touched upon the issue of the management of transboundary water resources in the region, Tajikistan relations with Central Asian countries, preparation for the SCO Heads of State Council meeting in Dushanbe, and Afghan problems.
Established in 2007 in Ashgabat as a unique political structure of the United Nations, the UNRCCA serves as a platform for dialogue and exchange of opinion between states of Central Asia so as to help them seek and develop mutually acceptable solutions.
