The eurozone's seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 11.5 percent in July, stable compared with June, according to figures released by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union (EU), on Friday.
It fell slightly from 11.9 percent in July 2013.
Meanwhile, the 28-member EU unemployment rate was 10.2 percent in July, also stable on a monthly basis, but went down 10.9 percent on year.
Eurostat estimated that 24.850 million men and women in EU countries were unemployed in July, among whom 18.409 million were in the eurozone.
For young people aged under 25, 5.062 million were unemployed in the EU in July, of whom 3.327 million were in the eurozone.
Compared with last July, youth unemployment decreased by 563,000 in the EU and by 226,000 in the eurozone.
Among the EU member states, the lowest unemployment rates were recorded in Germany and Austria, both at 4.9 percent, while the highest was in Greece.
