Election silence prolonged in Poland due to a voter's death

The Polish National Election Commission prolonged the election silence in Poland from 9:00 until 10:30 in the evening. The prolongation is a result of a voter's death at the polling station.

An 80-year-old woman passed away in the polling station in Kowale, Silesian Province, causing an hour and a half break in the work of district electoral commission. Voting time in this area had to be prolonged.

As a result, the election silence in the whole country was also prolonged until 10:30 in the evening. Afterwards, the first election results are supposed to appear. Originally, election silence was to last until nine in the evening.

Poland held the second, conclusive round of presidential election on Sunday. Endit
