At least two Israelis were injured on Friday in a suspected Palestinian shooting attack in the occupied West Bank, Israeli officials said.
An initial statement by a military spokesperson said that several shots were fired at an Israeli civilian vehicle near the settlement of Dolev, six km (about 3.7 miles) north-west of Ramallah.
A statement by Magen David Adom, Israel's Red Cross, said one of the injured was unconscious and in a critical condition. The other one was lightly wounded after he was shot at his legs, the statement added.
Israel's Channel 2 TV news reported that a passing car opened fire at a vehicle of Israelis, who were apparently on a tour at the Ein Buvin spring.
A military helicopter was en route to evacuate the injuries and scores of security forces were at the scene, canvassing the area for suspects, the military spokesperson said.
Violent incidents between Israeli and Palestinians have been on the rise since the U.S.-brokered peace talks collapsed last April.
