S. Korea, France agree to cooperate in high-tech industries

South Korean President Park Geun-hye and visiting French President Francois Hollande agreed on Wednesday to deepen cooperation in high-tech industries and new technology sectors.

Park and Hollande adopted an action plan to strengthen a bilateral comprehensive partnership for the 21st century, according to Seoul's presidential officie. The plan involved deeper cooperation in 11 sectors, including digital healthcare, life science, innovative transport vehicles, nano technology, new materials, pharmaceutical, silver economy and information technology.

The two leaders also agreed to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the space and aviation sector.

The French president expressed his support to Park's initiatives, including the trust-building process on the Korean peninsula and the Eurasia Initiative aimed at boosting peace and stability in the region. Enditem
