British FTSE 100 rises 0.92 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.92 percent, or 55.79 points, to 6,152.88 points.

Share price of London Stock Exchange Group increased by 7.17 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Direct Line Insurance Group, Legal & General Group, Worldpay Group and Prudential increased by 5.40 percent, 4.10 percent, 4.08 percent and 3.94 percent respectively.

Ashtead Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 8.82 percent, followed by Barclays (8.11 percent), Fresnillo (6.20 percent), Hikma Pharmaceuticals (3.51 percent) and Randgold Resources (2.47 percent). Endit
