Cambodian PM strongly condemns terrorist attack in Philippines

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen has strongly condemned a terrorist attack in Davao City, the Philippines, that killed at least 14 people and wounded over 60 others.

"I am deeply shocked and saddened to learn that the explosion at a night market in the Davao City, the Philippines, in the late evening of 2 September 2016 has killed at least 14 and injured over 60 others," he said in a condolence message sent to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday and released to the media on Monday.

Hun Sen wrote that Cambodia "vehemently condemns this act of heinous crime."

"On behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, allow me to convey to Your Excellency and through Your Excellency to the Government and people of the Republic of the Philippines as well as the bereaved families, my deepest sympathy and profound condolences for such a loss in this horrifying explosion," he said.
