Turkish police on Sunday caught a man who is believed to be responsible for the three attacks within 24 hours in Istanbul, local media reported.

The suspect, who attacked Istanbul Police headquarters and a building of ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) with flame throwers on Friday evening, was detained in northwestern city of Tekirdag, Hurriyet reported.

He is also believed behind the armed attack at Istanbul police on Saturday, according to the press reports.

There were no causalities reported at the attacks.

The gunman was identified as a member of the outlawed Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C) and he is a Turkish citizen named Serif Turunc, Hurriyet daily noted.

The DHKP-C is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United State and the European Union. Endit
