ATHENS, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Greek leaders expressed abhorrence over the latest terror attacks in London which left at least seven people dead, sending a message of solidarity with British people, Greek national news agency AMNA reported on Sunday.
President Prokopis Pavlopoulos conveyed deep condolences to the families of the victims along with sincere wishes to the injured for rapid recovery, said an e-mailed statement from his office.
"With determination and solidarity we will win the terrorism and the fear. The blind attacks in Britain bring us grief and rage. In these difficult moments, we stand on the British people's side," Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said in a post on his twitter account.
"The third terror attack in three months in Britain. Wholehearted support! Our duty is to do whatever possible to put an end with terrorism," tweeted main opposition New Democracy party leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The Greek Foreign Ministry also condemned the "bloody" terror attack.
"We express our solidarity to the British people and the government, and we send our sincere condolences to the victims' families," it said in an announcement. Enditem
