BUDAPEST, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese rider Bate Bayier won first place in the Hungarian National Gallop International race, while second place went to Serbia's Suzana Sekulic, and third to Jean-Pierre Polanen from Suriname.
The Chinese champion rode a Hungarian 9-year-old mare called O'Bajan. Bate Bayier, an ethnic Mongolian, was born in 1974 in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
He is a multiple winner of the China Flat Racing Grand Prix, as well as the Winner of the Hohhot Grand Prix in 2016 and the Hong Kong Jockey Club Cup in Chengdu in 2016.
The fourth, fifth and sixth place went to competitors from Hungary, Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic.
Besides these countries, riders from the United States, Turkey, Slovenia, Mongolia, Slovakia and Romania took part in the international race. The riders rode Shagya Arabian horses from the famous Hungarian Babolna Herd.
The 10th Hungarian race was won by Tamas Petrik from Csemo (Hungary) on his horse called Vicces (Funny).
Ferenc Kun, Fuzer's rider came second, and Arnold Nagy, Temerin's rider came third.
