HANOI, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Film Week is scheduled to open on Thursday night in Vietnam's central Da Nang city, the venue of the APEC Leaders' Week slated for Nov. 6-11.
In Da Nang, the Film Week, which will last till Oct. 16, is to screen two documentaries made by Peru and Japan, and nine feature films by nine other APEC member economies, including China, China's Taiwan, Vietnam, South Korea, Indonesia, Russia, the United States, Chile and Australia.
The APEC Film Week is also taking place in Vietnam's Hanoi capital city from Oct. 11-16.
Addressing the week's opening ceremony in Hanoi on Wednesday, Ngo Phuong Lan, head of the Cinema Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said "The week follows the APEC Year 2017's theme Creating New Dynamism, Fostering a Shared Future,' and contributes to closer cooperation among Asia-Pacific economies."
