LONDON, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.08 percent, or 6.26 points, to close at 7,380.86 points.

Sky, the Europe's leading broadcasting and entertainment company, soared 4.10 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. ConvaTec Group and Smurfit Kappa Group increased by 3.48 percent and 2.77 percent, respectively.

The British water company United Utilities Group was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.37 percent. Mediclinic International, the international private hospital group, dropped 3.98 percent. Severn Trent, a British water company, fell 2.43 percent. Enditem
