KAMPALA, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Head coach of Uganda's team Tolbert Onyango has named his final squad for the Dubai Sevens rugby tournament which takes place Nov. 30 - Dec. 2.
"The team has been selected with a mixture of youth and experience as we plan and strategise for the World Cup and Commonwealth Games next year," Onyango said on Thursday.
He said Eric Kasiita, who skippered Uganda to retain the Africa Sevens trophy will remain as the captain the team, while Phillip Wokorach will be the assistant.
The Uganda Rugby Cranes are drawn against Canada, South Africa and arch-rivals Kenya in Group A.
The other teams that will feature at the Dubai Sevens include England, Scotland, France, Spain, Fiji, Australia, Wales, Japan, New Zealand, USA, Argentina and Samoa.
This will be Uganda's second appearance at the Dubai Sevens after losing to South Africa, Scotland and the United States about 10 months ago in their maiden show.
