DUBAI, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- Valtteri Bottas of Finland who drives for Mercedes-GP started Sunday the 2017 Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit from the pole position and beat his teammate Lewis Hamilton who already claimed his fourth world championship during the Mexican Grand Prix end of last month by 3.8 seconds.
Bottas finished first in front of over 60,000 spectators in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), completing 55 laps on the Yas Marina Circuit.
Ferrari's German pilot Sebastian Vettel finished third.
In the final rankings, British driver Hamilton secured 363 points, while Vettel came second with 317 points. Bottas landed on rank three for the 2017 season, claiming a total of 305 points. Enditem
