KIEV -- "The European and Euro-Atlantic integration clearly corresponds to the national interests of Ukraine," Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said Thursday in celebration of the Constitution Day.
He said that in the near future he will submit to the parliament draft amendments to the Constitution, which define the membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the European Union (EU) as Ukraine's strategic goals.

UNITED NATIONS -- As Secretary-General Antonio Guterres commended the UN press corps on the 70th anniversary of the UN Correspondents Association (UNCA), saying their job was among the most dangerous in the world, there were several Chinese touches to the event.
"There are two professions that are most dangerous in the world. Those are humanitarian workers and journalists," said Guterres, who served as UN high commissioner for refugees from 2005 to 2015.

CAIRO -- "Egypt is keen on furthering the mutually beneficial cooperation with China," Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi said, adding that he welcomes Chinese companies to invest in Egypt and participate in the country's development.
Sisi said he admires the great achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and highly values Egypt's comprehensive strategic partnership with China.

SINGAPORE -- Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean said Thursday that growing digital integration and interconnection among economies make the world rely more on key nodes and critical information infrastructure, and bring higher concentration risks which is not just a local disruption, but potentially a system-wide global one.
"Governments and companies therefore need to address this concentration risk and work together with the research community to develop solutions to tackle these evolving vulnerabilities," he said. Enditem
