Tunisia expresses gratitude to China for help in fighting COVID-19

TUNIS, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia on Saturday expressed its gratitude to China for its help in combating the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, the Tunisian presidency said.

China has announced its intention to send sterile and antiseptic masks and other materials to reinforce the efforts taken by Tunisia to curb the spread of COVID-19, said a presidency's statement.

The presidency called on all citizens to adhere to the medical and health instructions to contain the spread of the viral respiratory disease in the country.

The Tunisian Health Ministry announced on Saturday that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country rose to 18, half of which were imported cases. Enditem
