BISSAU, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Guinea-Bissau reported on Monday six new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to eight in the country, Tumane Balde, spokesperson of the Interministerial Commission for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 said.
"The six new positive cases detected on Monday are Bissau-Guinean," Tumane Balde explained, without giving further details on the patients.
"The patients are already taken care of by the health services and they are stable," he said.
On March 27, President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo declared in a presidential decree a state of emergency throughout the national territory for the next 15 days. Enditem
