MAPUTO, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Mozambique registered seven more cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 28, said the Ministry of Health of Mozambique (MISAU) on Tuesday.
National Director of Public Health of MISAU Rosa Marlene told a press conference in Maputo that the latest figures emerged from samples collected from Total's oil project in the province Cabo Delgado.
She said the new positive cases result from the ongoing investigation over the previously detected case in the project.
The seven new cases are all male, aged between 30 and 60 years. Eduardo Gudo, the Deputy Director-General of the National Health Institute, said among the 28 confirmed cases, 14 are foreign citizens.
Up to the moment, a total of 762 suspected cases have been tested, according to the statistics. Enditem
