TOKYO, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Japan logged a current account surplus of 2.14 trillion yen (20.56 billion U.S dollars) in October, the Finance Ministry said in a report on Tuesday.
The ministry said the latest figure marks the 76th straight month of black ink.
Japan booked a goods trade surplus of 971.1 billion yen (9.33 billion U.S. dollars), among key components, and a services trade deficit of 384.6 billion yen (3.69 billion U.S. dollars), the ministry's preliminary report showed.
The ministry also said, the primary income, which reflects returns on investments made overseas, registered a surplus of 1.79 trillion yen (17. 20 billion U.S. dollars). Enditem
