NEW DELHI -- India's COVID-19 tally rose to 11,359,048 on Sunday as 25,320 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, said the latest data from the federal health ministry.

According to the official data, the death toll mounted to 158,607 as 161 COVID-19 patients died since Friday morning.

ULAN BATOR -- Mongolia registered 128 more COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, bringing its national caseload to 3,961, the country's National Center for Communicable Diseases said Sunday.

Among the latest confirmed cases, 127 were locally transmitted, and the remaining one was imported, according to local authorities.

TASHKENT -- Starting from Monday, Uzbekistan will no longer mandatorily test travellers for COVID-19 at airports, train stations and other border checkpoints, local authorities said Sunday.

Travellers still need qualified test certificates obtained within the last 72 hours for entrance, according to the authorities.

BEIJING -- Beijing has administered a total of 10 million COVID-19 vaccine doses as of 9:30 a.m. Sunday, according to local authorities.

A total of 6.66 million people have been vaccinated, with 3.34 million having received two doses.

SANTIAGO -- More than 1.7 million people in Chile have received both doses of the vaccine against the novel coronavirus disease amid an upward trend in infections, the Ministry of Health reported Saturday.

According to health authorities, 1,761,367 inhabitants have received both doses of the vaccine through the mass immunization campaign that began on Feb. 3 with adults aged 90 years and over. The campaign has continued to other age groups. Enditem
