KABUL, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's Public Health Ministry reported 55 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, raising the total infections to 56,572, including 2,290 active cases.
The pandemic has so far claimed 2,495 lives in Afghanistan since February last year, up by six in the past 24 hours, the ministry said in a statement.
A total of 195 patients were recovered during the period.
According to the ministry, more than 349,000 tests for the virus have been carried out in Afghanistan as of Thursday. Enditem
