NEW DELHI -- The Delhi Government on Sunday imposed a night curfew, from 11:00 p.m. to 05:00 a.m., in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases.

BANGKOK -- After 30 years of win-win cooperation, China and the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have set a fine example of successful and vibrant bilateral relations, which have come to a new starting point brimmed with new opportunities.

Established in 1967, ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

ISLAMABAD -- There is a festive mood in Pakistan's capital Islamabad.

"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way," sings Rimsha Kausar, as she decorates her Christmas tree with fairy lights, baubles and tinsel. She loves her red knitted sweater with its cheery Nordic reindeer.

YANGON -- Two world's rare species are reportedly seen inhabiting in Indawgyi Lake, the largest freshwater lake located in Myanmar's Kachin state, according to the Ministry of Information on Sunday.

Two world's rare species -- Microphis Dunckeris and Syngnathidae (pipefish) that are only endemic to Indawgyi Lake are recently seen at the lake, the ministry said.

KATHMANDU -- As the threat of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 looms large, Nepal still has a long way to go to vaccinate its targeted population.

Even though the South Asian country has been receiving a steady supply of vaccines in recent months, it is now struggling to store them and inoculate more of the population due to the lack of adequate storage capacity and necessary human resources, officials said.
