SAN FRANCISCO, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Microsoft on Tuesday posted a revenue of 51.9 billion U.S. dollars for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2022 ending June 30, up 12 percent from the same period of its last fiscal year.
The company generated quarterly net profits of 16.7 billion dollars, an increase of 2 percent year on year, while diluted earnings per share went up 3 percent to reach 2.23 dollars. Its operating income was 20.5 billion dollars and increased 8 percent, Microsoft said in its fourth quarter of fiscal year 2022 report.
The company's quarterly revenue in Productivity and Business Processes was 16.6 billion dollars, an increase of 13 percent. Revenue in Intelligent Cloud was 20.9 billion dollars and increased 20 percent. Revenue in More Personal Computing was 14.4 billion dollars and increased 2 percent.
Microsoft also reported its whole fiscal year 2022 revenue at 198.3 billion dollars, an increase of 18 percent compared to fiscal 2021.
Its yearly operating income was 83.4 billion dollars and increased 19 percent. Net income in fiscal 2022 was 72.7 billion dollars and increased 19 percent.
The diluted earnings per share in fiscal 2022 was 9.65 dollars GAAP, an increase of 20 percent and 9.21 dollars non-GAAP, an increase of 16 percent.
