SINGAPORE, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Singapore Economic Development Board said on Wednesday that the country's manufacturing output increased by 0.9 percent year-on-year in September, compared to a revised 0.4-percent increase in August.
Excluding biomedical manufacturing, the output increased by 2 percent year-on-year in September, compared to a 1.2-percent decrease in August.
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, Singapore's manufacturing output remained unchanged in September. Excluding biomedical manufacturing, output grew by 2.8 percent.
As for the performance of different clusters, the electronics cluster's output declined by 7 percent year-on-year in September. Meanwhile, the chemicals cluster saw its output decrease by 7.1 percent.
The biomedical manufacturing cluster's output declined by 3.5 percent in September. The precision engineering cluster's output grew by 7.7 percent. The transport engineering cluster's output increased by 38 percent. The general manufacturing cluster's output grew by 23.3 percent.
In the first three quarters of 2022, Singapore's manufacturing output grew by 3.9 percent year-on-year. Enditem
