JERUSALEM, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Italy's Gregorio Paltrinieri and Hungary's Kristof Rasovszky on Saturday shared the 2022 men's 10km overall title at FINA Marathon Swim World Series.
Paltrinieri, Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist, won the final fourth 10km competition of the series in Israel's Red Sea city of Eilat in an hour, 46 minutes and 41.8 seconds, equaling his overall points with those of Rasovszky, Tokyo's silver medalist, who finished fourth in 1:46:45.4.
Rasovszky's compatriot David Betlehem finished third overall after his third-place finish in Eilat in 1:46:44.2.
Marc-Antoine Olivier of France was second in the final race in 1:46:43.4 but did not finish among the top overall places after missing the previous series races.
Reigning Olympic champion Ana Marcela Cunha of Brazil won the overall women's title after finishing second in the final competition in 1:56:23.6.
Dutch Olympic champion from Rio 2016, Sharon Van Rouwendaal, who was tied by points with Cunha before the race, finished fifth in Eilat to settle for second place overall.
Australia's Chelsea Gubecka won the race in 1:56:19.8 while German Leonie Beck finished third in 1:56:25.3. Enditem
