KHARTOUM -- At least 16 civilians were killed on Tuesday in air and artillery strikes at a neighborhood in the city of Omdurman, west of the Sudanese capital Khartoum, a resistance committee said.
The civilians "died in this senseless war at the Ombada neighborhood" in Omdurman, the Ombada's Resistance Committee, a popular youth group, said in a statement. (Sudan-Strikes-Casualties)

MOGADISHU -- The UN humanitarian agency said Tuesday that three aid workers died in Somalia between April and June.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said two aid workers perished when their vehicle was swept away by a flash flood in Gabiley district, northern Somalia, while the third one was killed in a coordinated attack by al-Shabab on the Pearl Beach Hotel and Restaurant in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, on June 8. ADEN, Yemen -- Two soldiers of Yemen's government forces were killed on Tuesday in a bomb blast in the southwestern province of Taiz, a military official told Xinhua.
The official, who asked to remain anonymous, said that seven others were also injured when the improvised explosive device exploded in the Al Maqatirah District of the province, adding that the device was placed strategically along the military patrol route. (Yemen-Blast-Deaths)

SANAA -- Eight people lost their lives in a munition explosion in Yemen's central province of Marib on Tuesday, reported the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV.
Citing an anonymous source, the television reported that the explosion occurred at the house of a local arms dealer in the al-Hawi area of Abidah Valley in Marib, killing the arms dealer, his wife, and five children. (Yemen-Munition-Explosion) Enditem
