KABUL -- The handover ceremony for China's first batch of quake-relief materials for Afghanistan was held on Sunday in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

During the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Zhao Xing signed handover certificates of supplies from the Chinese government and the Red Cross Society of China respectively with Mohammad Abas Akhund, Acting Minister for Afghanistan's National Disaster Management Authority, and Abdul Latif Sabit, Deputy President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society. SIEM REAP, Cambodia -- Ra Sambo, a manager at souvenir shop Graines De Cambodge here in northwest Cambodia's tourist hub, is optimistic that the Chinese-invested Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI) will boost international tourist arrivals, revitalizing the COVID-19-hit tourism industry.

TOKYO -- The bodies of five people were found on Sunday in a submerged car in the sea off the coast of Mie prefecture, central Japan, local police said.
