GAZA -- At least 12 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in an Israeli attack on a school belonging to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza, the Hamas-run health ministry said Monday.
"The Israeli artillery attacked the school which houses thousands of displaced people and killed about 12 Palestinians, including women and children," the ministry said in a press statement. (Gaza-UN School-Toll)

NEW DELHI -- At least three people were killed and 10 others injured, some of them critically, Monday after a part of an indoor stadium still under construction collapsed in the southern Indian state of Telangana, officials said.

LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan -- At least six commuters were killed as a vehicle plunged into a water canal in south Afghanistan's Helmand province on Monday, said Mawlawi Mohammad Qasim Riaz, deputy head of the information and culture department of the province.
The deadly accident took place in the Garmsir district due to the carelessness of the driver, the official said, adding the victims included two women, three children and the driver. (Afghanistan-Commuters Accident)

JERUSALEM -- Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Monday that its ground operations across the Gaza Strip were continuing, killing three Hamas company commanders.
