MANILA -- A 7.7-magnitude earthquake jolted ENE of Gamut, southern Philippines, at 1437 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

GAZA -- At least 100 Palestinians were killed in Israeli bombardments that hit several homes in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip on Saturday, according to the state-run Palestine TV.

BAGHDAD -- The Iraqi military said that it killed four Islamic State (IS) militants on Saturday in the country's northern province of Nineveh.
The media office of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command said in a statement that Iraqi soldiers clashed with the militants after spotting them via surveillance cameras in the Makhmour area, some 100 km southeast of Nineveh's provincial capital Mosul. (Iraq-IS Militants-Killing) Enditem
