MANILA -- A 7.7-magnitude earthquake jolted ENE of Gamut, southern Philippines, at 1437 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 44.5 km, was initially determined to be at 8.61 degrees north latitude and 126.45 degrees east longitude. (Philippines-Earthquake)

GAZA -- At least 100 Palestinians were killed in Israeli bombardments that hit several homes in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip on Saturday, according to the state-run Palestine TV.

BAGHDAD -- The Iraqi military said that it killed four Islamic State (IS) militants on Saturday in the country's northern province of Nineveh.
