LIMA, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- At least five people were killed and over 30 injured in a bus accident on Friday night in the southern Peruvian province of Caylloma, authorities said Saturday.

The bus, which belongs to the Reyna Transport company, overturned at the entrance road to the Chivay district at about 11:00 p.m. local time Friday (0400 GMT Saturday), according to police.

Five people aboard the vehicle died on the scene, Radio Programs of Peru reported.

The injured were hospitalized and authorities have initiated legal procedures to determine the causes of the accident. Enditem
