MOSCOW/KIEV -- At least four people were killed and dozens injured in a new round of Russian attacks that hit several regions of Ukraine on Monday, authorities said.

TOKYO -- The death toll has climbed to 168 in Japan's Ishikawa on Monday after a series of earthquakes of up to 7.6 magnitude struck the central prefecture and its vicinity last week, as heavy snow and rain have hampered rescue operations.

KABUL -- The death toll of a blast that ripped through a mini-bus in the Afghan capital Kabul city on Saturday has risen to five, a local television channel Tolonews reported Monday.
