JAKARTA, Feb. 29 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia has seized one Filipino fishing vessel with three crew members, all of whom are Filipinos in the Indonesian waters, Indonesia's Ministry of Marine and Fisheries Affairs said on Thursday.
Acting director general of the ministry's Marine Resources and Fisheries Monitoring, Pung Nugroho Saksono, said that the light vessel was seized on Wednesday.
"During the inspection, the foreign vessel did not have any licensing documents to conduct fishing activities in the Indonesian water territory," Saksono said in a written statement.
He added that the vessel must be a part of operation unit of another larger fishing vessel as it had purse seine gear, but the authorities could not find any container vessel nearby. Enditem
