SINGAPORE, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Singapore Airlines transported 1.99 million passengers in February, up 29.7 percent year-on-year, according to the operating statistics revealed Friday.
The low-cost airline Scoot within the same group recorded over 1.06 million passengers in February, a year-on-year growth of 25.6 percent.
The Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group attributed the significant passenger traffic growth to a boosted demand during the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday season.
The cargo carriage also increased by 12.9 percent year-on-year in February on the back of robust e-commerce flows, said the SIA Group.
The SIA Group's passenger network covered 121 destinations in 35 countries and regions by the end of February. Enditem
