MANILA -- Three suspected rebels were killed in a clash with government forces in Batangas province, south of Manila, on Tuesday, the Philippine military said.

BEIRUT -- Two people were killed and nine other civilians sustained injuries on Tuesday in Israeli airstrikes on several towns and villages in southern Lebanon, Lebanese military sources said.

WASHINGTON -- The Francis Scott Key Bridge in the U.S. city of Baltimore collapsed early Tuesday after a large ship collided with it, and local authorities were trying to rescue at least seven people.

TEHRAN -- Members of a "terrorist" group have killed a policeman and an infant in an attack on a law enforcement patrol unit in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan, the official news agency IRNA reported on Tuesday.
