SINGAPORE, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Singapore will invest 2.1 billion Singapore dollars (1.55 billion U.S. dollars) this fiscal year to enhance digital infrastructure, the Government Technology Agency said Tuesday.
The budget represents a 60-percent increase from the previous fiscal year.
The agency vows to re-engineer existing infrastructure to reduce complexities and modernize aging systems to guard against evolving cybersecurity threats.
It is crucial for the government to strengthen the resilience of digital infrastructure to minimize disruptions and uphold public trust, the agency noted. Enditem
